I see everyone likes him but i don't see why they don't act on what he has said. His intent was not to have people sit idlely by and say hey, thats sounds good NO take action on what he has said.

I believe that what the society is doing is great. My one complaint: it takes some doing to get to any of Thoreau's actual writings.

The Society does a great job at keeping the words and life of Thoreau alive. The page is full of information about his life, works, passions - as well as about the Society and its endeavors.
