The need for programs to pass the time or save time has been at an all time high for me. I have learned Visual Basic and now what to start Java and this site is the one to help me with that.

The Java Tutorial is an excellent place to get started programming Java. It also serves as a reference for more experienced programmers. The tutorial gave me a more complete understanding of Java. I would suggest any newcomer to Java to look at the tutorial.

The site is a useful tutorial resource for people already having experience with object oriented programming. Procedural language programmers may find themselves playing mind reader to figure out what''s going on; best to get some listing of common object properties/methods.

A very useful tutorial. In my opinion however, you have to have at least some programming experience befor you can really understand what they are talking about. Not really for beginners.
